Schorndorf is a charming town located in the southwest of Germany, just 18 miles from Stuttgart, the capital of Baden-Württemberg. With a population of approximately 40,000, Schorndorf is a key city in the suburban area of Stuttgart, nestled in the picturesque Rems River valley and surrounded by the hills of the Swabian Forest. It is part of the Rems-Murr-Kreis county.

As a traditional market town (“Marktstadt”), Schorndorf is renowned for its historic market square, where beautiful half-timbered houses create a quaint backdrop. The town’s weekly market, held on Tuesdays and Saturdays, offers fresh local produce, meats, and Swabian specialties. The Christmas market, held each December, adds to the town's festive charm.
